My Personal Opinion: Bowser Should Eat IE Browser

Browsers Conversingby Tamara R.

Alright, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and part of living in America is that we have open doors to a wide variety of minds. I like that – I like being able to converse with people about my opinions or about their opinions without wondering if I’m going to get shot or hunted down because of it.

But I must admit…throughout my work with our web design firm, I have become rather exasperated by Internet Explorer (hereafter referred to as “IE”) browser. The specific reasons are becoming endless, but to get down to the point, it’s just a less powerful browser compared to Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome (respectively hereafter referred to as “Mozilla” and “Chrome”). (I don’t have any personal input on Safari, as I don’t have a Mac, but I’ve been told Mac is awesome, and that Safari does just as well as Mozilla.)

Bowser Spots IE BrowserAnd the most exasperating part about IE is the fact that it’s the default browser that’s loaded onto most computers, and it is in IE where most website errors show up. It’s the most frustrating thing in the world, especially when working on a website’s design! It’s not that I don’t appreciate the variety of free browsers that are out there, but RevBuilders (and any web designer and company out there) has to make sure that every web page created is cross-browser compatible – that the web page works in IE, Mozilla, Chrome, and even on Safari. And of all of the three browsers I use, IE almost always has an issue that the others do not.

People have asked me if I have enough monitors, (for those that don’t know, I have two monitors at my workstation). At this point, I’m going to have to say no. I need three – one for each browser for Windows OS. And the monitor for IE will be the one I bang my head on the most.

Alright, whew! I feel better. I think my favorite part about this blog post was making the pictures. Brings back some fond memories of video games.

Nintendo, anyone?
